Ryker's Realm
A free, fan-run World of Warcraft server with its own launcher. Play for nothing. Donor Points are optional and only buy cosmetic and convenience items in game.
What this is
Ryker's Realm is a private, fan-run game server for World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King (client version 3.3.5a, build 12340), running the open-source AzerothCore server software with custom content added by hand.
It is free to play. Making an account, playing, and every piece of content on the realm costs nothing. There is no subscription and nothing is locked behind a payment.
Ryker's Realm is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. World of Warcraft and Wrath of the Lich King are trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. This is a hobby project run by fans of the game.
How to join
- Get the launcher. Ask in the Discord for the current download link. It installs to your own PC and does not require administrator rights.
- Create an account from the launcher's sign-in screen. You confirm your email address with a code, then pick a password.
- Install the game. The launcher downloads and sets up everything, then keeps it patched automatically whenever the realm is updated.
- Press Play. The launcher configures the game to connect to the realm for you.
The launcher also carries the realm's news, patch notes, forums, support guides and tickets, a friends list, and the shop described below.
Donor Points
Donor Points are an optional in-game currency used in the launcher's shop. They are the only thing on Ryker's Realm that costs real money, and buying them is never required to play, to progress, or to take part in anything the realm runs.
What they buy
Cosmetic and convenience items, delivered to the character you choose by in-game mail, usually within a minute of purchase. Every item's exact stats are shown in the shop before you buy. Donor Points are also spent on the same in-game gold and Vote Points economy the realm already uses; Vote Points are earned in game and are not sold.
Prices
Priced in US dollars at 100 Donor Points per dollar, with a larger bonus on larger packs.

Prices may change; the launcher always shows the current ones. If your card is not in US dollars, your bank or Stripe converts at their own rate and the amount you are charged is shown before you confirm.
How buying works
- Choose a pack in the launcher's shop and press buy.
- Your browser opens Stripe Checkout, where you pay. Payment card details are entered on Stripe's own page and are never seen or stored by Ryker's Realm.
- The realm confirms the payment with Stripe directly and adds the points to your account, normally within a few seconds.
Things worth knowing
- Donor Points are attached to your game account and cannot be transferred, sold, traded to other players, or exchanged for real money.
- They have no cash value outside the realm.
- They can be refunded within 14 days while unspent — see the refund policy.
- You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to buy anything.
Support
The fastest route is the Support tab in the launcher, which has guides and a ticket system that reaches staff directly. You can also ask in the Discord.
